On 07 October, the first field test for our SafeShore project was held at SPP’s premises under participation of Romanian partners IOEL, UTI and SPP. The test had been planned in order to: test video sensors and thermal camera – real-live sensors & camera working, zoom speed & autofocus adapt
The SafeShore Project will be presented on October 5 during the Astrid User Days (http://www.astriddays.be/). This is a major event in Belgium with over 1300 registered attendants, where stakeholders from the police and intervention services communities can learn to know the latest developments and innovations in the field of security.
Between 20-23 September 2016 the consortium members organized the second workshop dedicated to the SafeShore project. The 4-day sessions were hosted by the Romanian Partners – UTI Grup, Protection and Guard Services, Institute of Optoelectronics – and were held in Romania, in Bucharest and Constanta. SafeShore partners OPTIX and RMA participated in a FRONTEX workshop on “methodologies/methods, procedures, best practices on investigating/testing/evaluating border security technologies” (http://frontex.europa.eu/news/invitation-for-industry-and-academia-T029n4). During this workshop, Zhelyazko Gagov presented the OPTIX electro-optical surveillance equipment to be used in SafeShore to 22 expert representatives of border management authorities from EU member states. On 16th of September, SafeShore partners UTI and SPP, participated in the SAFE DAY 2016 event at Marseille, France. The event was organised by SAFE CLUSTER (http://www.safecluster.com/safe-day-2016-lapres/). Attendees, among others, included Mr. Renaud MUSELIER, European Deputy, Delegate President of the Région Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
