SafeShore partners OPTIX and RMA participated in a FRONTEX workshop on “methodologies/methods, procedures, best practices on investigating/testing/evaluating border security technologies” (http://frontex.europa.eu/news/invitation-for-industry-and-academia-T029n4). During this workshop, Zhelyazko Gagov presented the OPTIX electro-optical surveillance equipment to be used in SafeShore to 22 expert representatives of border management authorities from EU member states. Geert De Cubber discussed with these end users the SafeShore user requirements and the validation scenarios in order to make sure that the SafeShore developments are completely in line with the needs of EU border management authorities.
