The workshop was prepared by SPP in very close collaboration with Polytechnic University of Bucharest, “Research Centre for Advanced Materials, Products and Processes” http://campus.pub.ro/
Dr. Geert De Cubber (RMA) presented the scope, objectives and the partial results of our consortium work. Also, the SafeShore coordinator was the chairman of Oral session 2 “Signal and Sensors”, while SPP representatives (Razvan ROMAN and Marian BURIC) chaired Oral session 1 “Vision and Speech” and Oral session 3 “Research projects”.
SPP representative Marian Buric presented relevant research results, regarding the counter RPAS solutions, which had been elaborated as part of SafeShore project.
The research paper “Mobile Broadband Public Safety Grade Network and Counter Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems” proposes a synergy between two key issues intimately connected with Law Enforcement Authorities’ missions: Counter Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (C-RPAS) and a Mobile Broadband Communications specific for Public Safety. Both of them provide functions and services needed for prevention and protection from events that could endanger the safety of general public and the society.
